WiFi: Connecting Your Device
iPhone, iPad:
- Go to Settings \ Wi-Fi
- You should see a list of the available networks under Choose a Network
- NOTE: a padlock symbol indicates a secure network, use caution when connecting to unsecured networks
- Tap on the one you want
- Provide the Password
Laptop:
There are a couple variations on making sure the Wireless is active on the laptop.
Some units have a slide switch located on the side or front:
Others may have a button:
and others maybe use a combination of buttons:
Press the Function (Fn) Key and the Corresponding Wireless Key at the same time. (this key can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer)
Pressing the Windows Key plus the “I” key will open Settings. Then go to Network / Wi-Fi
Show Available Networks.
Again you will need to know the SSID and Password for the network you are trying to connect to.
Most of the Christman projects will have Wi-Fi as well.
A Project Site may have one or more of the following SSID’s:
- TCC-Project -This is the Private, Employee only network
- TCC-Project Name - This is the Private, Employee only network
- TCC-Private - This is the Private, Employee only network
- TCC-Guest - This is the Guest Network
- TCC-Project Name Guest - This is the Guest Network
Both the Private and Guest Networks require a password. The Private Network password should not be shared with anyone who is not a Christman employee. The Guest network is for all other users. The typical current guest password is: construction
