When I move my mouse to my other monitor it is on the wrong side
This problem is typicality a result of your monitors being in the wrong order and can easily be fixed. This procedure must be done on your local desktop.
- On local desktop Right Click with your mouse on a random (open) spot on the desktop
- Select Display Settings
- There is a large box in the middle of the window that opens, it will have smaller boxes with numbers in it. These are your monitors and how they are arranged (This image is from Windows 10)
- Below the box is a button labeled Identify; left click on it
- A black box will appear with a white number. This number represents the monitor boxes in the window but the black box numbers may not be in the same order.
- Rearrange the Monitor Boxes in the window to match the order of the black box numbers. If one monitor is slightly higher or lower, or you have monitors stacked up-and-down, they can be arranged to accommodate that also.
- Once the rearranging is completed, left click on Apply
- Test your arrangement by moving the cursor (or a window) from screen to screen.
- If the order still isn’t right, repeat the steps until if feels right.
