Where are my files? Deleted?

We have backup mechanism in place on our File Servers and if you are missing some files you may be able to retrieve them yourself. 

For example, if you know you saved a file into your project's "CP 3.0 Financial" folder last week you can try to find them by using the "Previous Versions" feature.  

• Go to the folder in question and right-click on some white-space in the folder to bring up the Mouse Menu. 
• Click on Properties and then click the Previous Versions tab. 
• It should show you various "snapshots" in time.  
• Click on one of the time versions and then click OPEN to view what the folder looked like on that date and time. 
• If your file(s) is there you can drag and drop it into the current folder. 

If you still can't find the file(s) you are looking for, or are just uncomfortable doing this yourself, please put in a ticket. 

Please note, these snapshots may only go back a few weeks to a few days.  If you need to go back further then IT will have to assist.  Also, if you created a file and then deleted it a short time afterwards, the same day, the system may not have had time to make a backup snapshot of it.
