Recover Unsaved Documents
Did you close down Word or Excel without saving? Or maybe when it asked you to save you answered "Don't Save" by mistake then said a few curse words!
Well... you may be able to still retrieve your hard work. Your odds of success will be much greater the faster you act and before you logoff or close down.
In Word, Excel, or PowerPoint:
- Click the FILE tab
- In the OPEN section make sure you have RECENT DOCUMENTS highlighted.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the list and look for the "Recover Unsaved Documents" option; click it.
- If good fortune is upon you, you might be presented with the document you just worked hard on for hours.
If that didn't provide you with the joy of finding your work you can put in a ticket and IT can see if they can work any magic. The quicker you act the better.
If you have since logged off and you were in Virtual Desktop then you may be out of luck.
