Working From Home
If you suddenly find yourself having to work from home, or some other remote location, here are a few tips. This document is geared for someone that doesn't typically work away from a regional office. If you typically work from a project site then this information should be "old hat" to you.
This is just a summary, check out the Related Articles at the bottom of this article for more detailed instructions.
Get your laptop configured to use the VPN
Any company laptop can use the Virtual Private Network functionality of Windows 10 to "tunnel" into our network from any Internet connection. This will put your laptop directly on our Internal network and will be just like are you sitting in a regional office; except accessing files may be a bit slower. You will have all of your drive letters just like in the office.
Get into Virtual Desktop!
First off, even if you have never been in Virtual Desktop, you should have access to it. Virtual Desktop will give you access to Vista/Viewpoint, Outlook email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and all your normal drive letters. All the company Core applications. You can also use I.E. or Chrome to access the Internet from within your Virtual Desktop, and also CuConnect.
If you are accessing it from home you may need to download the Citrix Workspace App (AKA The Citrix Receiver).
MAC Users!! Download this Citrix Workspace App (Version 1901)

You can Access CuConnect from home
Simply go to www.cuconnect.us
You will need to provide your Christman credentials if using a non-Christman PC. Login with the domain name like this: Christman\username
Forward your desk IP Phone to your cell phone
If you want to receive your phone calls, you can send your calls to your cell phone by dialing *31 from your phone before you leave. Dial *30 when you return. Make sure to test that it works before leaving as your cell number needs have been entered into the phone system by IT.
Using Outlook from your work laptop remotely
If you have a work laptop with Outlook setup "local" then you should be able to simply launch Outlook from anywhere you have an Internet connection! If you get prompted for a username and a password, make sure to provide the domain name like this: Christman\username
Just be aware that the performance will not be as good as when using it at a regional office or via Virtual Desktop.
Use Outlook Web Access (OWA)
OWA is a web based version of Outlook where you can access your email without having to get into Virtual Desktop. You could do this from your home PC.
Simply visit: https://email-gw.christmanco.com/owa and logon with your Christman Credentials.
