Lansing Training Room (CUCE)
Room Capabilities:
- Video Conference - Dual Screen LifeSize unit. Ceiling Speakers. Wired Mic on podium. An additional mic can be setup with advanced notice.
- Screen Sharing - Dual Screen ClickShare unit.
- Audio - Music player. Music from ceiling speakers.
- iPad Controller - The room iPad controls the Projectors, LifeSize, ClickShare, and Music Player.
- Lights - Use the lighting panel located near the steps. Tip - turn off the front row of fluorescent lights for a better projector screen image.
- Climate - If the room is too warm or cold, you can rotate the knob on the Climate Controller located in the front west corner of the room.
Quick Start
Manually adjust the lights using the wall controls.
Click the center home button on the iPad to wake it up. Note - you can pull the iPad off the magnetic dock if you wish.
Follow the steps on the iPad for whatever task(s) you want to perform.
When you are done, please use the iPad to power everything down and place the iPad back on the magnetic dock if it was removed.
Turn off the lights.
Detailed Information
The room iPad is used to control most of the technology in this room. It will turn on and off the equipment, adjust projector inputs, dial into BlueJeans rooms, adjust audio volume, etc. It does not control lighting or climate. The iPad will step you through the necessary tasks to get rolling with a Video Conference or sharing your screen on the projector screens.
Video Conferencing – The iPad controls this, follow the steps on the iPad. If you want to share your laptop screen you must join BlueJeans video conference on your PC via the client or using Chrome. Go to www.bluejeans.com. You can not use the ClickShare unit to share your screen via a Video Conference in this room.
Local Screen Sharing – Up to (8) devices can be displayed on the screens at one time. Use the iPad to turn on the projectors and fire-up the ClickShare device. Follow the instructions on the iPad.

Music – There is a simple music player available via the iPad controller that will play music through the ceiling speakers. This music player is loaded up with nearly 1000 songs. If you require your own play-list you can contact IT, or you can also use Apple AirPlay to connect your iPhone and stream any music or service you have on your phone. AirPlay to: CUCE-music.
