My Computer is Frozen / Locked-up
If your computer is not responding here are some things to check / try.
If you don't have any unsaved work, you can try these things without too much worry. If you do have some unsaved work and you are afraid of loosing it; it may be better to start with a helpdesk ticket.
- Does the mouse pointer move around?
- If it does not, your computer may be hard-locked and basically need to be rebooted.
- Hold down CTRL & ALT then press the DELETE button. Anything?

- If the article above doesn't work - put in a helpdesk ticket. Tell us what you tried.
- If the mouse pointer does move around:
- Are you in Virtual Desktop? Yes?
- Can you access the top tool bar? If so, try disconnecting and reconnecting.
- If you reconnect but it is still locked up, put in a helpdesk ticket. Tell us what you tried.
- If you cant access the top tool bar - Hold down CTRL & ALT then press the DELETE button. Anything?
- Can you access the top tool bar? If so, try disconnecting and reconnecting.
- If you are not in Virtual Desktop try this:
- Hold down CTRL & ALT then press the DELETE button. Anything?

- If you get a menu when you press CTRL-ALT-DEL, try the Task Manager option. If you see any "not responding" applications, try to right-click and terminate it.
- Are you in Virtual Desktop? Yes?
- If it does not, your computer may be hard-locked and basically need to be rebooted.
- It could even be that your mouse and/or keyboard has quick working.
