Why a managed email signature solution? Simply put, with the continued growth of the Christman family of companies, manually managing email signatures for every user has become unsustainable. Having a managed system has a number of benefits, such as:
- Automatic updates if your name/title/company changes.
- You can choose what contact numbers to display in your signature.
- Consistent email signature across both desktop and mobile platforms (using the Outlook mobile app).

There is however a downside, and that's losing the flexibility we've had in the past. Since everyone's email signature was a copy of a template that was then edited/modified manually just for them, we could accommodate special requests, like having a different name in the signature than what shows up in Outlook, or adding certain text to the signature. This will no longer be the case.
The majority of the information in the email signature will be pulled from your account information in Vista. This includes things like your Display Name, Title, contact numbers, and main office location. You can see what this information is by either looking up your contact in the Outlook Global Address Book, or by going to https://myaccount.microsoft.com. If any of the information looks incorrect to you, you will need to contact HR. IT cannot change this information.
